Fleur & Fable is an illustrated stationery company taking the wondrous fantasy of storybook worlds and reimagining them with both whimsy and elegance. We specialise in bookplates which are illustrated labels placed in the inside front cover of a book to identify the owner. We want our bookplates to be a part of the story you tell about your collection of books as if to say “I was here, I read this, and it mattered to me”.

Our brand is all about recreating the nostalgia of a by-gone world – heavily inspired by classic fairytale illustration mixed with beautiful design, reminiscent of an old library. We value tradition and history, high quality production and ensuring our products are consciously designed.

Our range is brought to life with a variety of specialty printing including metallic inks, and tactile qualities like letterpress and foil printing, all in collaboration with Australian printers. We opt for plastic free packaging like paper or glassine, utilising soy inks and manufacturing locally. Each item bought also funds communities to plant trees, giving back to the resources we use.

About the owner

Fleur & Fable was created by Jessica Le in Sydney, Australia. I've been illustrating for 13+ years and have a love for all things flowers, fantasy, whimsy and vintage. I studied Visual Communications at UTS (graduating with First Class Honours) and spent 6 years as design director at a book publisher. My background in book design and production allows me to experiment with different paper stocks, embellishments and production techniques.

Fleur & Fable combines my favourite loves: florals, classic tales, art, paper goods and history. I'm also an internationally published author and illustrator and Secretary of the New Australian Bookplate Society as of 2023

In my spare time you'll find me travelling for art, experimenting with film photography, reading historical fiction and drinking vanilla earl grey tea.
